Progressive - Claims
Wondering if anybody has any advice or information they could give me I live in California and have progressive. I made a claim back in January to get a chip fixed with Safelite and that chip still turned into a full crack across my windshield my insurance went up and the deductible to get the windshield replaced was 500, so I decided not to do it
Here we are now in July and I do want to get it replaced, but I don’t know if it’s better to just pay out-of-pocket or go through my insurance again with the risk of my monthly going up. Is there a way I can talk to my insurance so that my monthly payment doesn’t go up or should I just pay out-of-pocket. TIA !
Progressive - Is my car toast?
Someone hit my car. Air bags went off on one side and bumper poked the radiator. Bumper and hood are crumpled but it doesnt look like anything else is damaged. No broken glass, and I can see under the hood and everything else is fine. Its a 2019 but good mileage and was in perfect condition prior. Filed insurance claim. It was the other personsfaultbut of course they didnt have insurance. Realistically what is the outcome? Weve had progressive for years. No claims for atleast 5 years.
Edit: sorry 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Progressive - Failed to pay the Bill
I pay my Home Insurance through my Mortgage Bill every month from there my lender pays my Home Insurance. For the second year in a row they have failed to pay the Insurance company (Progressive). Unfortunately it renews in July and if the payment isn’t remitted by the first from the Mortgage Lender it lapses. My neighborhood goes crazy on the 4th everyone and anyone capable of flicking a bic lights fireworks. Should the payment not be submitted by the first and it lapses; worst case scenario something happens on the 4th would the Lender be responsible for any damages being they failed to pay the insurance bill?
Progressive - Progressive count against me since had 3 accidents but it wasn't my fault at all.
I got new policy update and they was telling me that I can't get any better rate because I had 3 accidents it wasn't my fault. 2 of the accidents just policy report but never file a claim or follow up since it's not bad damage.
Any advice how to take on this??
Progressive - $915 settlement.....Maaco estimate was twice that....Progressive offer...
Wife got into an accident. She was stationary at an intersection. Other car turned into her. Our car 2013 Elantra suffered a cracked bumperl We took it to Maaco ..they estimated 2115 or so.
Progressive accepted responsibility. Like a fool i verbally told them I would accept cash settlement, They sent me their estimate which was $915..yikes....havent received check yet.....do I have any recourse?
Progressive - Progressive Snapshot with Tesla FSD
So we now know one of two things - either snapshot is designed poorly or FSD brakes too hard in a model 3. I don’t use anything except FSD and the best I’ve been able to score is 4 out of 5 stars all because of what it thinks is hard breaking - apparently snapshot isn’t designed for autonomous driving. PGR , time to wake up!
Progressive - Necessary to pay $150 fee and forfeit plate? Commercial Auto Insurance in Florida
I pay an arm and a leg for commercial auto insurance for a child care related business. I have 6 vehicles that I'm charged around $4500/yr per vehicle (yes I've shopped this several times, no there aren't better rates available, very few companies will even write policies for this industry). We don't use the vehicles at all in summer so they just sit in a parking lot. In years gone by, I've been able to drop the insurance during those months to "seasonal coverage" which basically means they are comprehensive only, and have no liability insurance because they are not being driven. Progressive has no problem with this. This ended up saving me about $2000/mo for 2,5 months, all in, or about $5000.
I tried to do that for this year and I got an angry letter from the State of Florida saying that I need to forfeit my plates and pay a $150 reinstatement fee for each vehicle because I've "dropped my insurance". I've never gotten this letter before. Is there any way around that? Does this mean that I'm stuck paying liability insurance on vehicles that never see the road?
Progressive - Need umbrella policy to protect assets but don't own a home in the state I reside. I live with an elderly parent with dementia.
I recently sold some commercial property and I'm looking for an umbrella policy or a large liability policy.
My problem is I live in a home that belongs to my 88 year old mom with severe dementia. The home is in a life estate deed to me, I've cared for my mom a long time, I have no claim to the home until she passes away.
We suffered significant hurricane damage, now seven months post hurricane repairs are just starting. I had to move my mom out of state with a sibling and mom is so frail she will never be able to return to her home. I am currently on the homeowners policy with my mom but expect there's going to be a problem with the current insurance company at renewal. My mom is out of state and I have no real rights to the home yet. My brother and I have POA but can't sign the deed over to me because mom has only social security and is going to need Medicaid soon. Medicaid does a five year look back. The home she owns is a mobile home, nice but not of great value. It's been in the enhanced life estate deed to me for many years. I do have a vacation home out of state, not a primary residence.
I have Progressive car insurance. I called the company associated with them and they question the liability on my mom's home. I don't know if I will even have insurance on that home soon. I would need to raise my car insurance above 100,000/300,000 and the umbrella policy would be $900 a year.
This policy seemed to depend on raising the liability insurance on my mom's home, possibility with a renters insurance policy, but that was questionable. I send money to my brother to help pay her care but it's not rent, she would then owe income tax on that and could be considered in kind help with medicaid.
There must be others who don't own a home in the state they reside who have significant assets. I've never been in this position before.
Can someone in the insurance industry advise how I can purchase a large liability policy?
Progressive - Why would I not get my full pip coverage?
I have $2500 in pip coverage and over $30k in medical bills. I’ve only gotten $900 in pip coverage. My lawyer said that is the offer from progressive. Why would I not get the full pip amount? I’ve also lost over $30k in income but my attorney won’t submit income loss.
Progressive - Progressive scammed me
I got auto insurance through progressive and was given a good quote so I sent in all the info I needed and got insured. I then bundled my home insurance because the price was so good. A month after that the auto insurance got canceled. They said that my license was not valid. When I asked for proof of this they said they had none. The state had just notified them that it was invalid. My license is valid and I even recently got a notification letter from the state to renew my license because it expires later this year. Now my only option was to start another policy with them and this quote was more than double what my original quote was. I feel like I got scammed to switch over.
